This was a snag from late last year, MAS51/56 with most of the factory accessories. Been on my list for a while and yes its still in 7.5 French.
I thought they were MAS-49/56? That's on my short list. Looks very nice.

Just came home with this, many thanks to the guys at Pasadena Pawn and Gun for working with me on a fair trade!

Super late WWII Japanese Type 99 "Concentric Circle" marked, with the stamped CC instead of the standard chrysanthemum. It's not clear what these rifles were intended for as Japanese records were lost to the War, but there are several theories that have been floating around for years, a common (but maybe wishful thinking) one being that they were Kempetai (secret police) issue. Whatever they were intended for, they are a unique Arisaka variation and can be tough to find as there weren't a ton of them made.

This one is from Kokura arsenal in the correct CC serial range, and going by the features likely dates to the very very end of the war. Given that it lacks dust cover grooves on the receiver, it probably was made around the very end, or even after, the 25th series (the last numbered series that Kokura made before the war ended). It's extremely crude as seen by the tool marks visible on the receiver. All matching numbers too which is a big plus

How'd I miss this when it first posted? Sweet! CC Arisakas are rare and that one looks unissued. My early CC T99 isn't so pristine.

Just this late Japanese Type 26 revolver to go with the Limited Early Production one I lucked into awhile back.
This one has the same "primary assembly number" of 36 which was why I finally broke down and got it.
