I recommend not doing it yourself.
most folks will send their gun out to get worked on. I believe freestate does it here in MD, there are a few other forum members that have mentioned it in the past.

Attn: all MDS members, if you want to mod a Glock buy a Gen 3 and sell me your Gen 2.
A Gen 2?! Ouch
I wish I could go back in time to when I lived in Texas and they had tables full of Gen 2 police trade in Glocks for just a couple hundred apiece at the gun shows.

never entertained it, but heard that the mag loader thingie the glocks come with is a good stippling/practicing training host.

rather than stippling...
may I suggest these grips, I have the sandpaper texture on a model 19 and love them. Worst case you don't like and remove them... vs. stippling.....

Since I consider even professional Glock stippling to be AMC Pacer Ugly, doing it yourself couldn't be any worse, and more cost effective to boot.
