Nearly same size and weight, easy on the shoulder and the shell-holder.

The one I grab from the safe most frequently is a Marlin 795 with Tech sights. Cheap, fast accurate and reliable.

Love seeing all these .22’s! I’ve reached for my Tikka T1X, Ruger Rimfire American, CZ Trainer and Ultralux a lot lately. Had a Marlin semi kick that resulted in a bakers dozen of them including the 7000T which remains one of my favorites.

The one I want to get at some point is a Winchester 52.

I shot one on my college rifle team.

My little 510 and 597 Remingtons are embarrassingly good guns for the prices I paid for them, less than $100 each. They both looked like garbage when I bought them. Kids prefer the Nylon 66 when given a choice. A 66 was the first gun Jerry Miculek ever shot and he will still tell you how much he liked shooting it. Also, when the US Army was testing .22's for possible full auto conversion during Vietnam, the 66 had the highest rate of fire of any gun they tested.

YUP. Growing up Dad had the Remington Sport Master (tube magazine), Target Master (peep site single shot), and a High Standard Double Nine revolver. I now have the Sport Master and my brother has the Target Master. and revolver We had selected which would be ours long, long ago. I just love the history we have with these .22's growing up. Great shooting guns but are very PLAIN looking.

A very old Remington 512 Sportsmaster that my father picked up many years ago at a gun show. I love that rifle.

I have a ruger 10/22 like much of y’all are saying but the most fun I’ve had it working the action this old marlin . Just a old single shot bolt action way to small for me but nonetheless stick it on the stick and blast squirrels with in 25 yards it’s a blast
