I picked up some Ramshot TAC in trade, and while looking up load data I saw they list both commercial 223 and NATO 5.56 data. (All my previous 223 loading was with Hodgdon powders which only lists 223 data)

Has anyone loaded to 5.56 spec and what, if any, extra care do you take with them? ( I know to only shoot them in Wylde or 5.56 marked firearms)

Do you try to to use only swaged brass? Roll or Factory Crimp? Only use 5.56 brass? etc. ?

I loaded a whole bunch of 5.56 LC brass with 26.0gr of TAC and 55 gr bulk projectiles and Win SRP and no crimp. Shoots fine with no signs of pressure from my 20” A2, 16” Carbine, and 7.5” Pistol.

I load 27gr of TAC under a 55gr, loaded to the cannelure. No problems, no pressure signs. I load it on a progressive, so I stay away from absolute max, but hotter is better in my book.
