google is your friend, I am not.
    https://www.midwayusa.com/product/4...al-jacket-boat-tail-box-of-450-15-boxes-of-30

    Box of 450, $109.99

ammo can with 420, $114.99 here:
    https://www.midwayusa.com/product/5...cket-boat-tail-ammo-can-of-420-14-boxes-of-30

Also individual boxes here (1200 for $290):

    https://www.midwayusa.com/product/2...5mm-55-grain-m193-full-metal-jacket-boat-tail

They are packaged in boxes of 30.

.24- .25 cents per for reloadable brass case, not too shabby. This is good stuff IMO.

Unfortunately the deal on free shipping does not apply to ammo.

Some other IMI ammo on sale too.

Good deal. The 1200rd box does have free ship. $0.24/rd delivered for 5.56 is a really good deal.

I picked up about 900 rounds of it, haven't had a chance to shoot it. I've heard the stories of squib loads and poor QC, but it's still brass at steel price. Plus mine came in ammo cans.

Shot a few boxes of this today in my LMT SBR and it was fine. Primers looked good and no squibs. Have given some to friends to try out and no one has had any issues. It is hot ammo though.
I am going to pick up some more.

Did anybody notice the 10 separate 1 star reviews on the 55gr stuff due to blown primers and other malfunctions?

    Yup.

I was going to order but decided against it based on the reviews and other personal experiences with IMI products.

For a little bit more I'm just going to stick with other "known quantities" that have served me well in the past. PPU M193 from AIM Surplus comes to mind.

Cant speak to the reviews. Runs absolutely flawlessly in my AR. I bought a batch as experiment, then bought a lot more. Runs way cleaner than Wolf and Tula.

sometimes people blame the ammo when its other stuff. I have seen some truly bad builds at the range. YMMV.

Thanks for the heads up. It's a great deal. I picked up 1200. Now I have to intercept the UPS guy.

Yeah. It worries me too. However so far I am around 700 rounds deep on M193 about the same on m855, 50rnds of m80 and a few boxes of 69 and 77gr and I’ve had zero issues. I haven’t shit all of that of course, but I’ve run maybe 150 or M193, 100 or m855, 20 of M80 and about 10 rounds each of 69 and 77gr.

On the M193 and m855 both what I have and what I’ve run has been from several different batches. All flawless. Loaded hot and runs accurate. The M193 is the most accurate M193 I’ve run in any of my rifles. Averages a little better then 2MOA. The m855 runs about 1MOA in my 20” and 1.5 in my 16 and 10.5” (they have 3MOA red dots on the 16 and 10.5). The 69, 77 and M80 are all quiet accurate in the appropriate rifles. At or slightly better then 1MOA for the match stuff and 1.5MOA for the M80 in my Sako (PPU M80 is my go to for cheap shooting in 7.62/.308 and that runs barely under 2MOA in my Sako. PPU 155gr MHLBT runs .75MOA in my Sako).

Federal also runs great in my ARs, but frankly it shoots for crap. XM193 is 2.5MOA ammo and XM855 is 3.5MOA ammo. So I really only get AE.223 55gr and Federal XM193 for plinking as the accuracy is okay enough and can sometimes get it pretty cheap. IMI is what I stock up on (I only have about 2000rnds or .223 and 5.56 total all makes and models. So far).

I used up all 210 of my IMI 5.56 55Gr and didn’t have any issues. I’d buy again, the prices have been very good on Midway

It is coming up at $450/1200 rounds, now.

The early bird, and all that...
If it makes you feel any better, the 77gr razor core is now on sale at midwayusa for $.56 per round. If I had not just stocked up on a case of the Magtech mk262 equivalent, I'd definitely grab some of that. I really like the IMI M193 because it has good velocity out of short barreled rifles. Sad I missed the sale.

Yeah I picked up a couple of boxes. I am hoping they have 7.62 on sale soon. Apparently their early stuff was loaded really light, like 2580fps for 150gr 7.62 FMJ, but apparently the last year or two they have it up around 2680FPS. Also since I got my Sako sorted, it’s shooting less then 2 inch groups at 100 without any fliers (as in it doesn’t seem to be producing any). PPU M80 is my go to plinking and stocking stuff, which shoots about the same, but PPU still tends to have 1-2 fliers in 10 rounds that open up groups an inch or inch and a half.

Good stuff.. shot a ton of this as I bought a lot when Cabelas had it on sale last summer. No issues and would/will buy again.
    Hope this helps.
