I have a Benelli M4 with the collapsible stock. I like to run the stock in the middle or shorest positions, which puts the rail (relative to my eye) much lower than it would be with the stock extended.

I load with Federal 2 3/4 reduced recoil 00 buck as for CQC.

Can anyone recommend optics for this setup?

I think the RM05 Trijicon RMR Dual Illuminated Sight — 9.0 MOA Amber Dotwould be a good choice on a tall mount.

Anything else on those lines that I should be considering?

Also, how many MOA do you think for the dot? Trijicon has dots in 4, 8, 7, 9, and 13 MOA.

    Thanks!

If you could swing it, I'd get the Aimpoint Micro on a Larue mount. But then, I'm an Aimpoint fan :D A Burris FastFire II would work, too. I'd use a bigger dot for CQB type shooting, but I've used 2 MOA dots to good affect, too.

Have you checked out the new Leupold Delta dot

These are similar to the trijicon RMRs or Docter sights but with a slightly bigger window. It also comes with a TRIANGLE reticle in 7.5 or 3.5 MOA. You can use the point of the triangle for more precise shots while having the speed of an RDO with a big dot.

    Just my two cents.
