I posted written testimony for the four bills mentioned in the MSI email. The short timeline and the whole online process are definitely ways to suppress the peasants from being too uppity.
Basically, anyone who can't be on the internet for political purposes between 8am and 3pm on a SINGLE day can't participate in the process. They obviously don't want to hear from working people.
Not to mention the limited number of discretionary testimony slots. if they don't like the look of your written testimony ... "no video conference face-time for you!"
Only four slots for each side of the argument? Guess they got tired of us showing up in droves and keeping them in-session past dinner time (sometimes past bedtime.) The nerve!
I don't understand why citizens keep voting for these people. Basically, we're hiring them to do a job and mostly pay no attention to the fact that they are working to limit our civil rights and tax everything we can dream.
