Appears OC is not permitted, unless you have a carry permit.

Police told local news that ordinance allows people to possess weapons but ammunition can’t be with the weapon, adding that ordinance prohibits open carry anywhere in the city unless the individual has a concealed-carry permit.

Seems to be the case. Did a little digging - MO state law cites the concealed carry permit connection. Found a news reference to Kansas City aligning their local policy with that of the State, but didn't find the specific ordinance (the KCMO.gov website suuuucks.)

Sec. 50-261. - Unlawful use of weapons—Generally
(a) A person commits the ordinance violation of unlawful use of weapons, except as otherwise provided by RSMo 571.101 to 571.121, if he or she knowingly;
(6) Openly carries a firearm readily capable of lethal use unless the person has in his or her possession his or her valid Missouri concealed carry endorsement issued prior to August 28, 2013, his or her valid Missouri concealed carry permit issued pursuant to RSMo 571.101 to 571.121 or his or her valid concealed carry endorsement or permit issued by another state or political subdivision of another state that is recognized by the State of Missouri;

Those Antifa "protestors" were being treated just like any citizen within the city. I see nothing wrong with what the police did. They're lucky they weren't arrested for the infraction. I'm more concerned that the police did not make the arrests for this illegal activity.

IF they were legitimately following the principles of Anarchism , they wouldn't have much truck with those three . They would give a passing nod to Trotsky, and frevetently proclaim allegiance to Nestor Makhno.

Thought MO was permitless open carry even before permitless CC was passed? In any event I'd have them take the masks off regardless. If they are so proud of what they do then why hide yourself.

If I'm reading it right, the State legislation allows localities to impose more-restrictive ordinances. KC does so, but aligns with the State that possession of a CC permit allows you to OC in not-prohibited spaces.

There are a lot of over-educated idiots who can communicate well but can't analyze or think straight (think ,"Hollywood,"), and a great many intelligent people who are mis-educated, indoctrinated, dogmatists and ideologues (think, "Obama").
