-I've been blessed to have so many good friends in my life. I met one of them through MDS and really enjoy his company while hunting for C&R goodies. I think of us as a nicer version of Statler and Waldorf, the two old hecklers on the Muppets.
-Yesterday we were at Redding, just hitting the smalls, no big purchases this day. He pulls out something I had seen at a previous auction and had gone stupid over: A July 1930 dated Parker's Arms and Accessories for Small Bore Clubs catalog. He had purchased it for me, God Bless him!
-This little 65 page catalog is a gem. It even has the post card for ordering the larger 225 page catalog and the invoice. Can't believe someone took the time to type out a proper invoice for such a trivial thing. The original owner was living in nearby York on one of the side streets that surround the Expo Center where gunshows are held.
-I was surprised to see that AGP sold Colt Woodsman and Hartford pistols (Hartford soon became High Standard) along with Webley, BSA and other small arms and air rifles. The catalog is full of neat items, everything a small bore club would need.
-Something I'll cherish to my end of days!
-BTW, I looked up the value of 6/17/6 in 1930 for the Colt Woodsman and in today's money it's 225 pounds or roughly $300. Still a bargain!

Yeah I was reading the description and it said it auto-extract but had to load and then close the slide.
Hmmm... not semi-auto in my book :)
But I wouldn't turn one down if it showed up...
