I bought the aero m4 lower, which apparently has a trigger guard as a part of it.
Build it yourself you will learn a lot in the process so when it malfunctions you can figure out what's wrong with it. You pay someone to build it if it malfunctions you have to take it to a gunsmith for something simple. Also if you decide to upgrade it in the future with better components you will have the knowledge to do so. After building my first AR I was hooked. For the price you will pay to have someone build your AR you can purchase a Wheeler AR-15 armorer tool kit, it has all the tools you will ever need to build an AR with. Never mind the small hands around you first build want take more then 2 to 3 hours start to completion that includes watching a utube build following it step by step.

I'd highly recommend building it yourself. There are enough youtube instructional videos out there that you can pause as you go for your first one and you won't have any issues. It is actually fun to do. I have had several friends ask me to put theirs together for them and have never said no. We have a few beers and hang out and it's together in no time flat. I like seeing new people get into it and I always give safety classes after and take them to the range. Right now I have my mother and a friend of hers who are going to be getting armed. The current events have made a ton of new owners. I asked my mom at the beginning of this thing if she wanted to get some range time with me and have one of my guns (at the beginning of lockdown when schools first closed). She declined. About a week ago, her and her good friend came to me and asked. Win for 2a!

I don't know where I got a variation of this a while back but it came in handy when I had a tight fitting lower and I was afraid of damaging it. Has worked really well.

I'll throw in one more set of tools: Geissele makes a set of gas block roll pin punches and a roll pin holder that are simply phenomenal for getting that annoying roll pin where it needs to be. Combine those with a jig, and it's like 10x easier. I will say I've had no issues eyeball aligning the GB and barrel gas port if I'm careful - just remember that many GBs are designed to accommodate the front handguard holder, so you will need a credit card of room between the journal and the GB with some of them.
(IMHO, building out uppers can be even easier than lowers, you just need more tools, which people seem loathe to buy.)
