Can someone give me some good options for a fixed stock for an AR? The rifle is BCM except for it's Magpul MOE furniture, aftermarket carry handle and currently a Magpul adjustable stock. I'm not trying to make it look like anything in particular but I find the rifle to balance oddly with the stock at anything other than full extension.

I think the Magpul MOE fixed stock is nice.

Has a flip open butt pad.

    Good for storage.

Worth noting that the barrel is 20" so anything I put on will need to be capable of working with a rifle buffer.

Sorry, I'm not a passionate AR guy so I apologize if that didn't make sense.

Id probably just go with standard A2. They work, handle well, shoulder well.

Always wanted to try one of those Israeli stocks you could put an extra mag in for balance but they seem to have dried up in the market.

I have a Rock River A2 stock I just installed this AM. Well built.

The A1 stock is 3/4" shorter than the A2, slightly thinner and a little more rounded around the edges of the buttplate. It uses all the same hardware, except a shorter screw and you don't use the A2 spacer.

I find it shoulders better (faster) than the A2, especially with clothing/gear on.

Brownells sells A1 copies for a really good price.

Use Retro or A1 for the search on the site.

I saw those. Any opinion of the quality of those? A quick search shows me that Fulton Armory also sells one but the $100 price tag is indicative of their name plate.

May not be great for buttstroking someone, but the ones I have installed were good. Plenty strong for mortaring if needed.
