    Real world case.... I "know" this guy who was arrested on a felony (case tossed) and had all his firearms (to include machine guns, suppressors, etc) confiscated by local county police. Only the ones that needed to be "registered" by BATFE were and were 100% legal. Many other and there were MANY were not. During the process of getting them back the officer "tried" to force this individual to "voluntary" register his firearms with the MSP. This individual did one or two then said "No". "Not going to happen, give my my firearms back and do it now." Well, I will say that he received all of his firearms but the county police officer was not happy about. End of story. Take it for what it's worth. YMMV.

    And 80 years is NOT an antique for the purposes of firearms... manufactured in or before 1898 is considered antique (fixed date... doesn't move).

    Sigh. Too bad it wasn’t set in GCA68 as 70 years old.

    Oh well. At least C&R keeps marching on. A few more years and the first Beretta 92s hit C&R status.
