Are SBR's legal in MD?

It appears Crazy Uncle Joe is going to make us register AR pistols that have a stabilizing brace as a SBR.

Are SBR's legal in MD? I'm pretty much up to speed on MD's stupid "so-called assault weapons" laws, but clueless about SBR's in MD...never had one. TIA.

Yes they are. The one issue with MD is a centerfire SBR must have a minimum OAL of 29".

A Centerfire Semiautomatic Rifle ( including SBR) must be > 29 inches . Bolt , lever , single shot , etc do not .

( Hummm . How about a host for a Transferable Sear, Lightning Link, etc ? )

The approved list contains more than a few relics of this type. Best not to disturb sleeping dogs or poke hornet's nests.

The MD-legal MDRX has a 20inch barrel, making it 29.5 inches long. The std 16 inch barrel version is not MD legal.
