I assume that internet sales and dwindling C&R supplies will kill off most gun shows sooner rather than later.

I think it's more due to the fact that every single Silverado show I've ever been to has been 40 old Fudds selling their lever-action and shotgun collections for twice the rate you'd even see in a brick and mortar store.
In this area, Nation's Gun Show in Chantilly combined with the Military Collectors event in Baltimore and the shows in Gettysburg along with some fairly reliable auction houses within a couple-hours' drive just sucks all the air out of the room so that a mediocre event like Silverado just doesn't survive.
