Does anyone know why seven Armored Personnel Carriers (strykers?) were traveling Rt 340, then turning off on MT Zion Rd on Saturday afternoon. I wish I would have gotten a picture.

I went by the Armory on Rocky Springs Road on Sunday afternoon, where they are stationed and the parking lot was full. I think that it was the Nat. Guard's training weekend for the month.

    Did they have 4 or 8 wheels? 4 wheels it's an ASV - 8 for a Stryker.

Did they have "Convoy Follows" signs?

LOL I saw them.. or I should say the 13yr old did... woke him out of a trance too.

Believe they were the Strykers, multiple wheels. No convoy signs but did have "wide load" banners on the front. Appeared armed (lets say the heavy weapons were installed, likely not loaded). Some of the people on board did have their side arms and M4 style weapons (I was headed into town, they were headed out).

Since they had just come off 15S onto 15/340, assumed they were from Ft Detrick and "putting" miles on the vehicles.

Group buy by Washington Co. Sheriffs Department.

They are going to be used to rescue school children trapped by flood waters.
