I've bought reloading supplies like powder, primers, and bullets at gun shows, but now want to reload shotshells again if I take up trap shooting again. Are there any good stores that sell wads and lead #8 shot in the capital region, preferably on the VA side of the river? I haven't seen any lead shot being sold at the gun shows, so I'm thinking stores would be a better bet.
    thanks.

Check out Prince George's County Trap and Skeet Center near Greenbelt, MD. They sell all your needs for reloading. Though not on VA side of the river.

Second for PG trap and skeet. They have a good selection of shot and wads. Once you find a load you like you can save money by ordering these items online.

Since you want to stay on the VA side of the river, you may want to take a little trip down to Ashland, VA, to find a place called GreenTop. It is loaded with reloading gear, guns powder etc. at better prices than most small stores.

The best prices in the area can be found at Shyda's in Lebanon, PA if you are ever up that way. Last time I was there, I paid $35 for hard shot and about $22 for 1000 Chedite primers. I usually go once or twice a year and stock up.

Take the wife for a drive someday and eat some Amish food. You can also ride the Steam train in Lancaster on the way back.

I was just in Hafer's Gunsmithing last week. Tim has remodeled/rearranged his store inside. He added a new separate small room dedicated to reloading...bullets, powders, primers and two benches with 4 or 5 presses and related equipment. IIRC, most of the presses are Dillon.

Edit: oops, just saw Va side...my bad. Hafer's is in Hagerstown, Md.

+1 on Shyda's, I don't usually make the drive and just order online, but they've got great prices and selection, and they ship fast.

Last time I was in Gander, they told me that had gotten out of reloading supplies. Equipment yes, but no more supplies.
