Gun Control bill backed by Springfield Armory and Rock River Arms heads to Governor

Quote:
SB-1657 made it through the Illinois Senate the day before the 2017 NRA Convention thanks in part to Springfield Armory and Rock River Arms’ lobbying group trading opposition to the bill for a carve-out for the two companies (who rescinded their offer after it was exposed by TTAG and then campaigned against the bill). Yesterday, it passed through the House of Representatives.

Illinois Gun Dealer Licensing Law Goes to Governor Rauner. Will He or Won’t He Sign It?

I thought SA tried to back down from it's original position, chalking it up as a misunderstanding? Am I mistaken?

What new action needed to be taken? Springfield Armory and Rock River Arms supported SB-1657, it passed the senate and they changed their minds after the fact. Yesterday it cleared the house. This is on them.
