So far there are nearly 200 identified arsenal stamps for the Type56.

Some arsenals are less common, but none are rare from a collecting standpoint.

From the serial number, your carbine is a 15th year gun, ot 1970.

Known serial ranges for /326\ indicate that it was producing as early as 1969 (14th year) to as late the 24th or 25th year of type56 production.

Man that thing is filthy. If you're not going to put it in a Tapco stock, at least run it through the dishwasher once or twice!

At least the bayonet is good for deer hunting. Just stick an apple on the point, and wait very, very quietly.

Haha I love that rifle. If I ever get bored I may try the apple thing. Thatís what hunting blinds are for.

Whatís a good method of getting cosmoline out of the bore? Itís been heated and shot, cleaned with bore cleaner many times, but that stuff wonít come out!

Non-chlorinate brake cleaner and a nylon brush. If it’s still not coming out, it’s not cosmoline that’s in there...
