My neighbor got a Sig P320 with a Romeo 1 Pro. He is sending back his third optic, as they have all cracked. He’s just shooting at an indoor range. Sig is now looking at the machining on the slide. It’s all factory. Anyone heard of these problems?

    No.
For me, it's Trij rmr, or nothing.
You can hammer nails with it.

Snob. That’s what I’d go with. I thought the Sigs had a good reputation. I have a couple Romeo 5’s on non-essential guns, and they are solid.

The 5s are good. I still consider them range toys, much like the vortex SPARC.

Who makes these for Sig? I don't consider Sig an optics company. This stuff hasn't been out all that long.

Have a M17 inbound and plans for my first handgun with a red dot. Started watching reviews and already decided against the Sig Romeo pro. Lead me to the Leopold then Trijicon. But now the Aimpoint Acro has my attention for the closed system. Choices and decisions...

Why M17?? Son wants to join military so we have some time to shoot that. I’ll spend a year or so with standard sites first. Then when he joins I’ll gravitate towards a red dot.
