Our power grid is so very vulnerable. Just a regional outage would be a nightmare.....It gets very ugly.

You want ugly? Imagine this: a [successful] attack on the power grid in tandem with a biological attack.:party29:

Power grid alone would be enough to ultimately result in a huge die-off, and collapse of the economic system. We'd be back to the late 1700s, but without the skills to survive.

No internet, no financial system, no power for heating, cooling, or operating machinery like gas pumps, phones, radios, ATMs, transportation systems would be down, cities would starve in a week or so.

It would be snow coffee time, and eating pets and neighbors.

With all that going down, who needs a revolution?

We should have listened to Michael Dukakis and started growing Belgian endive.

Just my view, but the problem isn't a difference of when is when. We all know it's already too far. The problem is no organization - and that prevents action. The guy willing to take action today walks outside his house to "go do something" and he finds himself along. 6 guys, still not enough. Somehow, somewhere, some kind of "team" of the right kind of leaders would need to be establisted to say "what", "where", "when", and "how"... lawers, representatives, participants and preferably some branch of or members of military so there is something than just a bunch of nut jobs botching about "more guns".
There has to be a plan, a way so that participants are not "risking all" so we can see who it all really matters to - teachers, professionals, family men etc.
There is no voice, no organization and thus no action.

    no-whites ‘Day of Absence’
    http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2017/may/25/evergreen-state-students-demand-professor-resign-f/
Over the last 72 hours, students have taken over a small liberal arts college in Washington state, and only one adult has tried to stop them.

Students at Evergreen State College in Olympia, who filmed their exploits and posted the videos on social media, have occupied and barricaded the library, shouting down anyone who disagrees with them or shows insufficient passion for racial justice.

Biology professor Bret Weinstein was berated by dozens of students outside of his classroom Tuesday morning for refusing to participate in an event in which white people were invited to leave campus for a day. Now he says police have told him to hold his classes off campus due to safety concerns...

Eric Weinstein, the professor’s brother, called the exchange ironic due to his brother’s “center-left” political views and staunch anti-racism...
I'm thinking maybe not any more. Emphasis added.
At a meeting between the administration and students later that day, university President George S. Bridges said no students would be punished for their involvement in the demonstrations, even before an investigation into the matter...
And that's the end of that Liberal utopia college.

Any major power grid failure or other disruption will cause so much chaos that with people dying and getting sick with no treatment the results will be multiple pandemics as well a a resurgence of many "old world' diseases.
    Cholera
    Dysentery
    Pellagra
    TB
    Malnutrition
    Scurvy
    The list goes on.

The lack of clean water and basic sanitation along with few or no treatment options will doom many.

Yeah, but that'd take weeks or months, during which time the military could/would retaliate. Launching a bio attack.....let's say weaponized Septicemic plague—a nearly 100% lethal malady genetically combined with small pox to greatly increase its communicability (I believe NK, Russia and Iran've been working on this (as well as counter-agents/vaccines) for years), which would quickly and thoroughly devastate an already crippled country. The military's been war gaming this (with nightmarish results) for at least the past decade or so.

The Cholera epidemic in Haiti took less than a week after the UN troops arrived and bestowed their "gift" on the locals. More people + closer living = epidemic in no time.

Yep. This doesn't take long to become an issue. This is when things snowball. As people fall ill, those who would be responsible for providing services critical to the restoration of our infrastructure will fall ill, have family members who are ill, or will abandon their jobs in an effort to find food for themselves and their families. The longer everything is down, the worse things get. People will not have the time or be safe enough to do much other than find food until the population is significantly diminished.

All good reasons to live outside the urban areas, and have significant supplies of food, water, meds and the means and mindset to survive.

It's not OUR breaking point that we need to be concerned about.

Have anyone noticed how much the left has coalesced around removing Trump from office ? But removing Trump isn't their real goal is it? It's taking back what they expected to be theirs with the election of The HildeBeast. Trump's election pulled us back from the brink, so now they are all behind us trying to push off of the cliff.

If they fail, and they most likely will turn to violence to finally get their way.

In the last several years, we had Occupy, Ferguson, BLM, Baltimore, Antifa, War on Cops, several ISIS "incidents," and more. They've already embraced violence. And that was when THEY were in power.

Right now is their retrenchment, reorganization, and refresh while their political resistance uses the Democratic system to resist, the calm before the storm. Their next uprising will be more oppressive and violent. Unless Trump succeeds in transforming America and MAGA.
