These looked a bit gimmicky to me but thought I would try them because if they work, what is not to like? Basically a rubber ear plug that filters out the high dBs yet allows ambient sound to pass without the use of electronics . Cheap, no batteries, etc.
My expectations were low, but I was very impressed. Three straight days of .45, 5.56 and .308. The electronic ones never came out of the bag.
All of this was outdoors. I'm still skeptical about use at an indoor range or shoot house, but maybe I would be surprised there too.

    Thanks
I've been looking for effective plugables for spares to put in the range bag.
