Holy smokes!
I was out re-setting my targets with some AR500 hooks I found in the shop when I heard a sound not far off in the woods. Lo and behold, a 6 point buck had come to a stop maybe 25 yards off! I crouched down just as his head came about, and we had ourselves a good ol' fashioned staring contest for five minutes or so. If I looked away, he'd take a couple of steps and fake like he was browsing. If I looked his way, the staring contest would resume. I finally got up real slow while not looking at him, got on my mountain bike, and rode up out of the woods. Last I saw, he was still watching me go.
