You can go full auto, or I believe you can get an M1A pistol and make is a SBR.

Oh, we CAN have M14's. We just can't have those EXTRA dangerous variants that only shoot ONE round per trigger pull.

I know a couple of the officers. Trained with them a long time ago. We still keep in touch.
Does not get much press, but they got several HVTs ( high value targets ). Mainly the Al qaeda bomb makers that were hiding out in that remote area.
Last January, 44 members of the Special action force died in a firefight in the same area. But they got the mastermind of the Bali bombings. That incident killed hundreds of westerners. The SAF ( with the CIA ) had bad Intel aND was outnumbered 10 to 1.
Most of these guys love the m14. The 308 round does not easily deflect with jungle vegetation. It is effective and reliable. In fact, the browning BAR or M14 is still favored over there by local forces. Because the 7.62 round will make cover into concealment. There is a special respect that the m14 or BAR guys get.... they say, Tigas nang bakal mo dre... ( that STEEL that you carry is bad azz). Or they say, Ganda nang plastic... ( you have a beautiful plastic gun). BARMAN.... (soldier armed with the m14 or BAR ) denotes badassery.
So load another magazine. In your trusty m14.
