    So by some wild stroke of luck, I was drawn for one of the 26 Bull Elk tags in PA this coming fall. Any one on the board ever hunt Elk in PA? I drew in Zone 8.

    Yeah, something like 300-400? They were introduced about a decade ago and the herd has been slowly growing. Kentucky has a really nice herd going. Up around 6000 I think. It would be nice if they reintroduced them in to Maryland.

    Actually there are over a 1000, they were reintroduced in the 1920s and augmented in the 80s. Season first opened in 01, they issue 100-125 tags a year.

    WV and VA are interesting cases as the Kentucky herds were migrating into those areas on thei own anyway.

    Did some scouting in my zone this weekend with the outfitter. Id really like a crack at the collared one. Hes a beast.

    So complete and total off the wall long shot, but gotta ask since you have "buell" in your handle. Theres a fella named Buehler that lives in a white rancher east of benezette on 555 that has a large chunk of land along the river, any relation? Weve stopped by a couple times to try to get access but he hasnt been home.
