Is it wrong to feel worse for us getting a Obama appointment than his friends and family's loss? Sucks everywhere you look at it. RIP and thanks for being a voice of reason.

    RIP.

Remember that there were many in the Senate that said it was their duty to approve ANY nomination of the president.

Anything already hear will be 4-4, can the court put everything on hold until they get a ninth justice?

I remember at least one Senate Republican saying that: "Elections have consequences." As if his own didn't have any, and he certainly made sure of that.

Democrats have a different view: Never let a crisis go to waste.

    Were screwed :( RIP

    That's completely inappropriate language....and utterly accurate:thumbsup:.
The only chance is for congress to disapprove all of PAA's candidates in the last-ditch hope that an American president's then able to select Justice Scalia's replacement. But that's a long-shot, at best.

The only saving grace is that we own the Congress.

We just need to tie his next appointment up for the next eleven months.

PS: Bourbon beat me to it.

On another note. 3 Supreme court appointments for this president ... ugh. Maybe the week kneed republicans can actually hold out until the next president is sworn in?

Really?? People close to him are just now starting their grieving, and folks are already getting political?

Hearing personal stories coming forth, and he's to be celebrated as well as mourned.

We've lost a great American, and a most facile jurist.

Politics is about all this means to anyone not close/related. 79+ year old people die all the time of natural causes.I don't suppose aby strangers grieved for my grandparents...

    "We"?

As in that stalwart (not) Mitch McConnell, who should have been booted along with Boehner, if not before him?
