Val and I used to go there often. We liked it. One of the few restaurants she'd go to. If you want to be there with a chance of a train going by, do not go on Sunday. They don't run then.

Another for Falling Water, my favorite FLW house.

Havent seen it. Stayed at Wingspread about 10 years ago and it was cool, everyone kept hitting their heads (a Wright thing) but me being short walked right through like any Hobbit house.

For those of you that mentioned Falling Water. We’ve been there probably 20yrs ago. I studied it quite a bit in college. We did the small group tour which I think they only do on weekdays. It was well worth the extra time and money. I would do it again for sure.

For those of you that are a bit unfamiliar with some of the back story on the house apparently Mr Kaufman the owner was very concerned that the cantilevered main deck was too long and insisted that Frank Lloyd Wright add a support pillar. He refused. Later during construction he noticed the builder had added this extra column per direct contact with Mr Kaufman. He was enraged and had the workers remove it. I guess he was right, it’s still standing after 100yrs.

FLW was a genius when it came to design but also very egotistical. It is still standing but with a lot of work to keep it standing.
