Canon is good for cameras. Nikon (not Canon) is big in the rifle scope market. Nikon P223 series are good scopes for the money.

I would get a scope. These rifles are so accurate you will very quickly want to move out to 100yds and hit that tiny red speck.

As for iron sights and co-witnessing, if you get a 1x-8 or 1.5-8x optic, iron sights are unnecessary. iron sights and cowitnessing might be necessary if you are doing 3 gun and hitting targets inside 25 yds. But, I have a 2.5x scope on a few carbines and have zero problem hitting inside 25 yds. I really have never been big on iron sights.

Thanks. Besides optics or backup sights, any other essentials that must be added to make it functional at the basic level?

Ammo. Lots of ammo. A trip to Vienna to grab a shit ton of magazines.

Also, a credit or debit card so you can take the bad boy home. Nice thing about this is 4473, no 7 day purgatory.

You mean a credit card to pay the $10 MSP fee? Why no 7-day waiting period for this one?

Does this gun come with LWRC manufactured magazines or some generic magazine such as Magpul?

it's not a regulated firearm, that's why. Go MD! Great gun laws you passed! Now let's see how retarded these new laws end up being.

Mine came with a 10rd Magpul mag. LWRC doesn't make mags.

The only regulated items subject to 7 day wait (77r) are lowers and handguns. Rifles and shotguns are cash and carry (4473).

The credit card thing was a joke. It wont be fully function for you until you actually buy it.

Yes, you probably will get a pitiful little 10 round mag with this. Easy fix, Road trip to Vienna or McClean to buy some adult size.

If you're super cool you don't even need sights. You can just shoot from the hip. No irons or optics needed.

But you still need a HQL to buy it right? Maryland never ceases to amaze/confuse me.

Not at AGC or IWLA . Against the rules to be too cool for sights.
