That is awesome to hear your family is proud to be Coon Asses!! that is badge of honor back home!! I know folks up North swear it must be a black person.. right.. LOL.. when they see a white person claiming that title it freaks them out.. LOL

Some of my family is Cajun as well so it's all good.. I do love the South.. I feel that the people on this board have souther traits!! Very nice and open.. hard to find now a days.. but you came from the other L.A.. WOW.. that is a hard one!! I can only visit and not live! Too darn liberal for me!!!

I lived in Port Arthur, Beaumont, Kenner and Metairie. Nice places to visit, but its tough to make a living there. Lot of opportunity in Md, but the politics here suck. I lived up in Reisterstown too, up near you.... I liked it up there....a little too much traffic tho. Welcome to the board.

ezeerider.. I lived in Kenner for a few years when I moved back home from Phila. You are so right about the cost of living. I was making $8.88 an hour.. thought I was living high on the hog! when did you live in Kenner?

I lived off Sunset Blvd, now Joe Yenni Blvd..I hated that name change.. LOL... near lake pontchartrain....good times..eating crawfish and good company
