It's kind of hard to pull that together when a fox suddenly pops out of the woods. Maybe if covid hadn't happened I could have afforded on call tipsy white people on horses and hounds, about all I could pull together on short notice now would be a couple of rednecks on razor scooters, a can cannon, and a case of twisted tea.

IMHO, probably can’t find them, but CCI velocitors are the perfect round for fox. Won’t do a ton of pelt damage, but shoots flat, accurate and will sure penetrate well as the leads a bit harder than other 22lr HP rounds (and 40gr where most 22lr HP are 36).

I shot a Jackal in Africa with a .308 178grn ELD-X from 50yds. Lets just say that it blew the backside of him apart, I have the pelt but the left shoulder is missing a giant grapefruit sized hole. I'd go with a 40gr LRN or any FMJ type of ammo.
