Would it be possible to FOIA the demographic information gathered by MSP? Also who where the individuals characterized by the following:

These people were going to or leaving work, and the police – in a capricious manner – refused to accept their travel needs and dragged them into criminal court.

These individuals had authority; they were in uniform; they had a license, and yet they were still prosecuted. When you have no fundamental standards, then you are violating the rights of citizens who are subject to police authority.

Why wasn't the city/county/state sued into oblivion because of it?

I'm almost positive the applications are exempt. I do not know of any report/database that shows the race of permit holders.

I honestly find it sad that we can’t fight these stupid laws as an infringement, but rather it has resorted to playing the race card. Of course the economically strapped are going to have issues jumping through the bs laws, but that doesn’t make them any more bs. Just because I can afford all the stupid fees associated with ccw and the hql, doesn’t make it right.

It's been done. Mathematically there is no racial disparity based on race of applicants alone. There is a moderate sexual disparity.

A list of race of applicant by occupation may show different. Keep in mind that most armed security and armored car jobs are low wage occupations, and may are contract jobs for the federal gov that require diversity. Add in the number of retire law enforcement with permits, and suddenly there racial disparity of permit holders disappears. Factor out those occupations, and you may have something

It is a website started by some former staffers of the failed Baltimore Examiner , which was a free supermarket giveaway from 2009-12 .
