This is my eldest daughter ringing steel at 200 yards at demarva. She is using her Savage. Mk2 we. Got her for Christmas last year for 100 dollars. This thing is a tack driver and I find myself stealing it at times.

Second d photo is the first time she has killed anything. Squirrel hunting in my parents back yard with the Savage.

This is probably my favorite 22lr rifle I own,and we have quite a few,

A little windy today, but I shoot when I can. I did some ammo and accuracy testing with my 10/22 today. Standard 10/22 receiver, bolt, trigger.

50 yards with CCI Standard and Fed Champion 50 yards 5 shot groups

These are all shot with Wolfe Match Target 50 yards 5 shot groups

Last group of the day 50 yards 5 shot group Wolfe MT. the other rounds on the paper were me sighting in an AR. Low shot was cold barrel shot off target on purpose for measuring the round hole diameter.

Its amazing how many guns shoot so well with CCI at its price.

I would love to know what they know about making .22.

I did a barrel swap to a threaded target bull barrel and a new hogue stock.
First paper is with the original stock 10/22 barrel and wood stock with CCI minimag on the first row and Federal Automatch (lots of stove pipes) on the 2nd/3rd row

All are 10 shot groups @ 50 yards with bags

Second paper is with the new barrel and stock. First row is CCI minimag and you can see that compared to the stock barrel, there was an improvement.
2nd row left two targets is CCI standard velocity. 2nd row right two targets is ELY Match (yellow box). Not much improvement with the Ely
3rd row is CCI standard velocity Suppressed. Seemed like the suppressor also slightly tightened the groups up.

That last target suppressed was 1/2" 10 shotgroup.
What I like about the last 3 groups were that the center of those groups did not move any more than what looks to be 1/8" max

22LR is still cheap shooting and easy to get now adays.
Was shooting my beloved Henry 22 lever action @ 100 yards at a steel target. This henry is light and easy to shoot. Standard trigger is decent for what it is.
It loves the cheap Federal Auto match too.

    Love the Puck bag..

LOL, took the sedan to the range today and did not bring a rifle rest to check the sights before I went offhand. Made that mistake several times before. Plus you never know when you will drive up on a fight and a hockey game breaks out.
