    I would send it in - its probably for warranty registration, but might also be a way to contact you in an event of a recall. The gun co's, are your friend -the government is not.

    Not needed for warranty and I would hope by now if there was a recall a gun maker would let their dealers know and the dealers can get the info out via a site like this rather quickly. It is an out dated concept.

    But contrary to popular belief - not everyone uses the internet, so some people may not know otherwise.


    Car manufacturers still send out paper recall notices, even in this day and age.

    Agreed. I also think that with so many owners buying from Wal-Mart, Bass Pro and Dick's, there isn't that close link between retailer and customer.

    Ruger is on the side of the government. They want your guns to be grabbed...then you have to buy more

    No need. Once they know who you are, they can control your brain through radio waves.
