I would take an educated guess and say the OP "IS NOT" in the 85% approval category for this bag.

D*mn! LuckyGunner had two very nice versions of Blackhawk range bags on Clearance all of this year for ridiculously low clearance prices (iirc along the lines of $9 and $13) all this year and up to a week ago. Buuuuuuut, I just went over to copy and paste the links here and they are back up to $30 and $40 each …. based on the quantities they still had on hand just last week I can only assume they moved them from clearance back to regular prices ahead of holiday shoppers.

Perhaps they’ll be back on their “Specials” page after the holidays … https://www.luckygunner.com/ammo-deals?dir=asc&order=cost_per_round

Hmm, they are still removed from LG’s “Specials Page” but, near sick low prices remain - just mixed in w other regularly priced stuff on the website!

(I picked up several dozen of the BlackHawk 53” shotgun cases when they were $4 or $5 and they are of great quality!)

Here’s some timely Christmas shopping links!

One NOTE: LG’s shipping is Blitzkrieg fast (most reach me 2nd day) but, you pay handsomely for it so, it is one vendor where “Buy In Bulk” applies!

I got a carry on style wheeled bag to use. It's a duffel bag style with side pockets and then the main compartment. I can fit a spotting scope and tripod, shooting mat , and all kinds of extra stuff and be able to wheel it's around.

    Under $30 off of Amazon

For those who suggest the 5.11 bag, or the Midway Competition Range bag, which is essentially a copy of the 5.11 bag, those are both a good way to go.

I got the Smith & Wesson M&P Officer bag, which is yet another copy of the 5.11 bag, but at $69, is a good bit cheaper. I would have gotten the Midway USA version, but they were out of stock on the color I wanted - black - so I got the S&W bag. I have not been disappointed. It's a solid bag so far - I've had it about a year, and it's made about 9-10 trips to the range so far - not nearly as much as I'd like to, but so far it's held up great. It holds a ton of stuff - maybe too much - when it's full of both pistols and ammo, it's quite heavy, so I've taken to carrying the bag, and an ammo can for ammo.

In any case, hindsight what it is, I think that from a quality perspective, the extra money might have been well spent for the 5.11 bag, but the Midway bag is also a great value - I wish they'd have had the color I wanted.

Thanks for the heads-up, I was looking hard at both the Midway and 511 bags, but really prefer something with lockable zippers.

This 5.11 bag caught my attention, but it's sold out on Amazon, and 5.11 doesn't list it?... It's either discontinued or really new?.. 5.11 has 20% off right now.

    5.11 lists it right here.

For that price, it’s a great deal.

Something to consider, I'm not disappointed with my S&W range bag at all. In fact, I really really like it, and it appears to be reasonably well made. With that said, I don't know if it will last as long or hold up as long as a 5.11 or Midway bag, but I fully expect it to last years and years under the kind of use it's going to see from me. It also had all of the features I wanted, mainly because it's a copycat of the 5.11 bag.

It wouldn't be a bad way to go IMO.

Something else to consider, the 5.11/Midway/S&W bags are big, but I USE all of that space - you'll fill it up pretty quick. In hindsight having almost gotten a smaller range bag, I'm glad I went bigger.

Mine actually came with the items. When I bought it years back it was on sale for $50. This is the one I actually purchased. Looks like the price has gone up a bit like everything else.

Mine came with those items too. Those zippered gun bags are great I bought two more of them from Midway cause I bring 4 handguns to the range sometimes. All four of them will fit in the Midway range bag with four handguns.

I think it's interesting that they also sell that bag as a separate thing without the inner bag and pistol pouches - I'm not sure why someone would want it without that.

Interestingly it's now cheaper than the S&W bag I have, and I'm thinking about snagging one in a different color so that I have a bag for pistol, and a bag for rifle.

I have one of the 5.11 Tactical Range Qualifier Bags for handguns. Picked it up years ago from the now defunct Tiger Outfitters for 33.99 shipped to my door! Very well constructed.

I get all of my shooting sports bags from LA Police Gear. I'm still using their back packs, bailout bags, and range bags. They're all 8+ years old and still look good. Sale prices usually beat everyone else's price.

I use one of the kids old baseball bags. I ripped the lining out and can fit a 16 inch AR in there. The rest just gets tossed on top. Anything that may get scratched up gets wrapped up in an old tshirt.

It still has sunflower seeds in there and on occasion I'll find some shells in the AR and magazines. I figure if anyone looks in the truck and sees that bag they'll move on. Even if they want baseball equipment they'll assume it's the cheap stuff and will move on.
