Go for Federal LE13200 law enforcement ammo. It's reduced recoil and patterns much better and tighter. When we tested it at the federal agency I was an officer and instructor for it was much better than the previous stuff (can't remember whether it was Remington or Winchester...possibly both). At fifty yards the previous ammunition put some pellets on a standard man-shaped target. The Federal put all nine pellets on the silhouette.

While we were never in a position to actually use the stuff in the line of duty I've no doubt the Federal would have performed admirably and the confidence factor is there as well.

Since I haven't tested 000 or number 4 buck I can't give a recommendation...someone else will come along with some real world results.

Love me some Fed 132. The flight control wad makes a huge difference.

That Federal Flite Control wad is indeed a genuinely noticable difference maker.

WalMart used to carry Winchester in a five round, plain brown box. Not fancy but not birdshot either.

He's in Towson and I'm guessing wants a local meet up with someone who has shells to spare...looking through my stash now. Have the 00 just not the 000 or #4 that I know of. May have multi purpose box from winchester.
