I want to get the Shortest legal limit of Barrel Length which is 18 inches if i remember correctly? on My Saiga obviously it needs to be Cut and Threaded. (Not interested in SBS)

Whats a Good place that Specializes in this procedure and what will it cost me?

Any recommendation is greatly appreciated Thanks!

You could ask this guy: https://tromix.com/ I know he used to do a lot of Saiga 12 work. Not sure if he still would or not. He seems to change hats a lot.

Usually my first call for barrel work is Morgan at Class 3 Machining. https://class3machining.com/

Nice guy, does excellent work. See his photos on Facebook if you like, or the huge thread on AR15.com about $50 barrel threading. He's a one-man shop, and he's busy. Great work, though. If he can't do it, at least he'll tell you. I bet he can, though.

And yes, minimum barrel length for a shotgun is 18". I like to go a little longer, say 18.25", just in case.

I suspect Morgan will reply "Sure thing bud" and charge like $80 or $100 with return shipping. He's fast so prices are good.

If you have a 19" barrel Saiga, you're only going to give it a 3/4" haircut...why bother.

If you have a 24" barrel Saiga, those are few and far between. Don't cut it, trade/sell for a 19" version. You'll get a premium for it.

I agree 100% with JohnnyE. I think most saigas are 18 3/4", so 1/2" isn't justified. And I'm sure someone somewhere wants a 24" one.

edit- I suppose if you have a 19" one, you could cut it down and have a monster brake pinned and welded to 18 1/4". That's the only way I could see that making sense.
