I’ve found a couple AR9 platforms that seem pretty decent, but it seems our handgun roster never gets updated.. does anyone know if the newer Extar EP9 is legal to purchase in MD? If not, any recommendations?

Since it's a handgun, someone would need to submit a sample to the handgun roster. Also you need an HQL to purchase. Otherwise its legal.

AR pistols do get approved. There's some on the roster already. You can also buy a lower and build one yourself. That way you skip the roster business.
Maybe “ancient” isn’t your thing. I’m sure there are other platforms out there. Gee, 2 posts and one is criticism.

Well, this is a pretty ancient platform (in internet time anyway). That is not really a criticism, its just a fact.
