    I used to say that same exact thing when I saw people selling long guns and advertising "No California Sales".

    I have sold several shotguns to CA residents over the years, mailed directly to their FFL, absolutely zero difference compared to say,... Florida, Pennsylvania or Alabama.

    I never saw the point in trying to further punish a guy who wanted to buy a used gun from an individual just because he resides in California..... makes no sense to me. Private sellers were adding their own stipulations (which is fine) but, based on the fact that they incorrectly assumed it was somehow not lawful for an individual in CA to own a shotgun (or) for someone outside CA to sell to them.....
