Interested in getting into archery/bowhunting. Friend gifted me a ready to hunt bear legion and target. Just curious as to where I can go to get it set up for me and potentially get some tips on practice and what not. Thanks!

Check out the Md Archery Assn website for local clubs near you, it will be a fantastic resource and most allow guests to use the practice targets free of charge. ;)

Tim down at the Gun Shack in Mt Airy is a great guy. He runs the archery shop. You may also want to go up to Mayberry Archers just west of Westminster on your way to Taneytown.

+1 for autumn sky. My buddy goes there regularly and they did some on the spot work to my bow basically for free.

+1 for gunshack in mt airy. The bow guys set me up and we're good to deal with

Archery club located on Honeygo next to JoppaView Elementary they have indoor shoots as well as outside.
That would be VNB Vingt-Neuf Bowmen, one of many archery clubs that are part of the MAA. Most local clubs will have members that are more than willing to help newcomers to the sport, we try hard to bring new members into the sport and keep the arrows flinging, whether it's help with equipment, techniques, or just practicing to get better, you will find a lot of help at most all of the clubs.

Here is a link to many of the archery clubs in MD..
