If you’re thinking about 7.62x25, I’d recommend getting a CZ52. I have a Tokarev TT-C and the CZ52, but the CZ is much more fun to shoot.

I started consolidating before the 2012-14 cluster. I looked for holes in application for the calibers and gun types I have. I sold the ones that didn't fill a need and am still in the process of filling “holes”. Not in too big a hurry since I am only lacking a 243 class bolt gun and a heavy, large critter gun. Less the latter because I don’t see safari or obnoxious bruin on the agenda.

I'm trying to consolidate but, it's getting harder the farther I go. So far down to:
.22 lr .32 acp .32 Long / .32 HR mag 9x19mm .38 Spl / .357 mag .45 LC .223 Rem / 5.56 NATO .30-30 Win 7.62x39 .308 Win / 7.62 NATO .410 28 ga 20 ga 26.5mm .177 pellet .22 pellet I might eventually cut 7.62x39 (RAR) but, my plan is to add .357 Max (new Contender barrel) this year. The only thing I shoot a lot of is .22, although I hope to do more in the future. I used to reload but now the only thing I still do is 28ga due to huge difference in cost. |

3 shotgun gauges and 12 ga isn't one? Bold choice.

I think I've had a change of heart.

Part of my consolidation. I mostly shoot 20 in my Beretta 686. I also have a Rem Wingmaster SBS 12” with a backup 25” bbl but that’ll probably go in the relatively near future. Two of my girls have 28s for clays & I have a 28 TC barrel on order which will replace my 410 bbl. then I’ll only a keep a handful of 410 for snake load for my hiking/emergency handgun, Hk P2 w/ insert. I’ll soon get down to just 20 with a few boxes a year of 28. The 686 is a platform that meets my needs: two slugs on a pie plate at 50m, could deliver buckshot at 15m in a pinch, and easily scares live & clay pigeons all day since it’s easy to carry. The TC is great at making me look like I’m hunting, when I’m wandering around the woods pretending to look for bunnies & squirrels...
