I have an old 12.5HP 32" CRAFTSMAN that has a leaky front tire and an intermittent starting issue that is getting ready to leave my house to a free-be donation center. if you are slightly mechanically inclined you can fix it your self (either wiring, starter, solenoid or ignition switch issue) and have it for free but I'm in north central md.

Lose a damn toe messing with that rig!

I have a ~2004 72" Exmark (diesel) for sale, on the cheap if anyone is looking. New belts, fresh fluids and filters, new tires, $3,950.

How many hours are on it? Any rust in/on the mower deck?

I replaced the hour meter last spring, wrote it on the meter or a tag hung inside the compartment,.... I can't remember.

Wanna say 2,600. Not a ton, not for a diesel anyway. Deck is 100%, no rust other than some surface stuff. I have a striper on the back (replaces the rear anti-scalps), had one wheel motor totally replaced last year, somehow I sheared the axle clean off while minding my own business, barely even turning, checking the mail at my mailbox.....

I used it for my yard (2 acres), prior to that it was commerial use from a guy I know who's huge, he bought $150K dollars in mowers to replace a little over half his fleet (how I got this one).

Paid $5K two years ago, have just over $1K into it, $800 of that being the wheel motor direct from Exmark.

Anyway, it was a good mower if someone has a lot of room, probably not great for cutting around a ton of trees or for someone that needs to go in and out of gates or something. I moved to a quarter acre and am looking forward to PUSHING, haven't had a yard this small since our first house in 1998.

Where were you 5 years ago when I bought my Hustler Z4?? Would've rather had a diesel vs gas and 72" vs 54" and $4k vs $8K.

Good deal if anyone is in the market!!

Hustler has a better ground speed, this thing is a BEAST, tires on the back look like damn near floats. It's quite heavy too, I had to take it easy on moist ground so as not to tear up turf.

Took delivery of his old mower.
It was in better shape than expected.
A little fresh fuel air filter and spark plug she will run fine.
Took care of a few small issues she will be cutting grass in two weeks.

no problem man, hope it gives you many years of service. check the oil every couple mows, at 16 years old it likes to eat it

Got the front axle welded up today so that's done.
We stopped at WalMart right after we picked it up.
Wife went in I hopped in back and tried it.
She started right up.
So I will coat the axle and start putting her back together.
Did you have trouble shifting gears?
I found an issue that was easily fixed in 5 minutes.
