Anyone here have one and do you like it?

I have been seriously looking at one, and thinking of it as a hiking and trail gun here in Texas. I like the small and lightweight dimensions and the fact that it's an 8 shot. I like to carry a revolver with the fist two chambers loaded with CCI snake shot. No shortage of rattle snakes here in the Texas hill country.

And unlike the Smith and Wesson J frames with fixed sights, the Ruger has a decent size pinned front sight that I can actually see. Unlike the skinny little front sights of the S&W's.

    Too far gone
Krazy heavy trigger pull!!! Was trying to find a smith to do a tigger job. Bottom line...I personally don't care much for the pistol.

You need to be very close to a rattler for .22 shot to do much, we'll within biteing distance. Solid bullets would be better if you must kill.
I have a LCR .38 for concealed carry and really like it. For your purpose, I'd recommend the hammered verson.
