Did VA's knife laws change recently? At the Chantilly show today several vendors were selling automatic opening knives to civilians. I seem to recall they were LE only in the past.

I remember something in the 2017 session about taking "switchblades" off the prohibited list, but I thought McAuliffe vetoed it.

Switchblades have been sold to civilians for many years in both Maryland and Virginia. If it is illegal, thankfully nobody seems to be enforcing it.
Such infringements are useless and there is no duty to obey or enforce them anyway. (I am NOT a lawyer!)
