I came across an ammo can labelled ".300 Blackout" and didn't recall what it was. I opened it up and came across ~350-400 pieces of processed and primed .300AAC brass I don't remember processing.

Like when things were hard to get, I placed an order.
Totally forgot about it. About 15 months later, not to large, but HEAVY box was on the porch when I got home.
I had NO idea what it was.
But a CASE (6000) Hornady 55 gf FMJBT 5.56 bullets.
Finding things is always fun.

When we were preparing to move 6 years ago, I found a wooden crate of 5.56 ammo under our bed. Completely forgot I had it. That was a great feeling.

No, I actually ran out of places to store anymore ammo. I lived in a house without a basement at the time and I had ammo anywhere and everywhere I could find a place to store it. The bed was usually for some of the wife's stuff, but somehow that crate of ammo was put there and forgotten. Either that or the wife ordered it for me, put it under the bed for a future gift and never gave it to me.
Who knows?
