ublock Origin had them blocked a while ago despite having no security issues. Likely reported to the default block list as a threat as a way of censorship.

Cool Article from Conservative Daily

Dems Say 1st Amendment Doesn’t Protect 3D Gun Files, So I published one as a Book on Amazon.

https://conservative-daily.com/2018/...e-book-amazon/

Very Interesting article which is going to help make the point very clear to some that publishing a 3d printer file on the internet IS INDEED akin to publishing an actual book.

For those of you who dont already know a 3d printer file commonly called an .STL file is simply a text file which describes the solid geometry in a 3D coordinate space. The software used to create the 3d printed part takes the .STL file and translates this into G-Code which gives the printer the actual movement commands to “PRINT” the part.

Here is a simple example:

UINT8[80] – Header
UINT32 – Number of triangles

foreach triangle
REAL32[3] – Normal vector
REAL32[3] – Vertex 1
REAL32[3] – Vertex 2
REAL32[3] – Vertex 3
UINT16 – Attribute byte count
end

The article makes a point to highlight that ANYONE can publish the exact text contents of any STL file and this is totally legal under the first amendment. Anyone can copy and past the txt to a PC document and change the file extensions to .stl and print the contents of the publication. No different than printing a photo or any document on a computer printer, which by the way also uses a type of printer file format and not the actual txt you see on the screen before you hit the print command.

I hope this publication is used as evidence in the case. It’s got to make some AG’s ass pucker when someone explains the fact. These files are basically text documents and Cannot be restricted under the first amendment.
