You can list it or shoot a picture(worth a thousand words). Here's mine. This is my bow kit. Come gun season, a couple changes; the tree hanger comes out and I generally don't carry my range finder unless I am going to hunt over a field. Pretty much everything else stays. A side note on the pistachios. Those little devils are great for warming you up. When I've been in the tree for a few hours and start to feel a chill, I hit a few of these and warm right up. Another good way to warm up, take a couple disposable toe heaters and stick them inside your outer shell, wherever you feel the cold(lower back, down the back of your neck, front rib cage, etc). They work great! One thing missing is a small spray bottle of scent killer. Time to go shopping.

I also pack a lunch in a double ziploc and I include a pair of nitrile gloves to keep scent off my hands.

I try to keep my pack as light as possible.

    Crop damage and gun season:
orange, lisc. and ammo, chair and shooting sticks..... if I kill one I go back to my truck to get the sleds and gutting equipment.

    bow season:
arm guard, release, gut hook knife, bone saw, pull rope, screw in step (use as bow hanger), pruning shears and folding saw to clear branches, 3 flashlights, hat, face mask, gloves, lisc, gutting gloves, drag rope, and Benadryl (I'm allergic to deer hair).

I never use any calls, rattling, or cover scents.

damn yall make me feel lazy, I take my gun, ammo, a snack and if its real cold a blanket. I have never felt the need to carry a pack and I have harvested many hundreds of deer and disposed of many hundreds more on cdp's. of course I am not a trophy hunter though I have shot my share of nice deer.

I am new to hunting and my pack looked similar to that the first time I went hunting. I have tried to streamline my back but am in the same boat as outrider a serial over packer. I think it largely depends on your hunting situation. If you have the ability to leave the woods and come back in a reasonable time after shooting a deer, you don't need as much. If you are a public land hunting a mile in, then you will need to bring more gear.

If on private or easy wood access:

    Weapon
    Knife
    Light
    Binoculars
    Rangefinder
    Harness
    Rope Hoist
    Calls

    If Public,

    Basically Outriders Pack minus Ozonics

google is your friend, I am not.
taking a picture requires unpacking... and generally I keep it packed after Sept 7th so that I can leave at a moment notice (my schedule can be funky).

I have most everything pictured except the call (dont use em). I also have an extra deer drag, plus extra ropes. I also have 3 small portable hanging work lights for night gutting (hang on tree). Plus a bottle of cover scent, obviously.

Not pictachios, snickers or Kind bars. Plus, where legal, some treats for the deer.

Oh and I dont use the tree hanger pictured I just carrabiner stuff to a hammock strap around the tree.

We always carried brass whistles worn on a lanyard on your person. Never to be used unless somebody is hurt. That and a compass. Might be moot nowadays if in areas of cell phone service, and with GPS.

Will have to compare to my pack when I get home or over the weekend. I need to inventory it anyway for the new season.

Was gonna add first aid kit but I think I see one in Outrider's picture. At minimum I carry some band aids, clot gauze, and tourniquet.
