Vibe makes a nice kayak. I like the material they are made of better than the stuff Ocean Kayak used in theirs. Of course my Trident is 15 years old and my Vibe is only about 4 so they might have changed the material since I bought it.

We got the ok from Hunky Hogan's office that says kayaking is exercise so, if you can find a launch point, go for it.

A buddy of mine uses a cheap kayak, rattle can paint job that he touches up about once a season. He keeps some camo burlap in that he throws over the front deck. He typically paddles to a spot and backs himself into the marsh grass, totally disappears.

(He fishes piney run park with it too and has caught some nice strippers with it.)

Somebody I know almost lost their life climbing out of a little skiff about two years ago. The guy had been hunting waterfowl for more than 50 years. He breached the edge of a gut and submerged the transom at the motor. In a hurry. Because of they waders he couldn't pull himself up and onto the marsh. He was wearing waders that were heavy with water and became numbed by the cold.
I used to hunt out of 12 canoe that I bought from a guy in North Carolina 20 or more years ago,. He custom made them on the Nues river and gel coated a nice camo pattern in it and molded in a wide Keel. It's wide and easy to stand up in.Ive had about 550 or so pounds in it then gets a little wonky.
I still use it every once in a while because its light and easy to get into some ponds for fishing. I learned my oldest son had tied it up in the cripples and was messing around deer hunting in it by himself. I bitched at him for leaving it in there till he brought it home after this season. When I seen it at his place I thought about stepping through the bottom and cracking it or putting a hole through it so it couldn't be used any more. If I ever see waders or it loaded in the truck at the same time that will be the end of it.
