Since going to s mechanical I'll never go back to a Quartz watch. I have a suunto core I wear for outdoor/physical activities but otherwise I'm wearing my certina and saving for something new.
I just love how the seconds hand floats around - it's relaxing to me when I'm stressed. And I appreciate the craftsmanship and history of the mechanical watch.

Yup, I hate them (though this is more nylon than cloth - and mine's black).

I just bought a leather NATO strap from Worn & Wound - arrived today. Feels great and I can't wait to install it.

Please post a picture of the finished product.

I bought 20mm, so I put it on my Tag instead (the Seiko is 18mm). I didn't like the strap I had on the Tag, but my aunt still hasn't found the original bracelet.

The leather is soft and supple but feels tough. The pin tool is quite nice; much easier than a baby screwdriver.

After settling in w/ a 16610 Submariner for a long while I went for the improved legibility and ceramic bezel of the GMT IIc.

My wife can't read her Ladies TT DJ at all so come V-Day she'll be rocking this 31mm Oyster Perpetual. This particular blue/Roman dial is new for '15!

    Tiki Time!

The Eterna KonTiki checks a lot of neurotic boxes for this WIS; an established yet under-the-radar brand, sporty styling w/o looking trendy or Asian, wells sized at 41mm, top notch quality, hulking oyster bracelets and modern features like Luminova and sapphire.

I especially like the 2003 KT chrono's oversized subdials and rectangular pushers. The triangular markers are a nod to the vintage KonTiki's.

The KT Four Hand displays the date in a unique way. I love the runic characters decorating the inner dial, the sword hands and old style markers at 12, 3, 6 and 9. All boasting copious amounts of Luminova!

Few're aware that the Swiss calibre maker, ETA, used to be part of ETernA. Good stuff.

Wearing my 31 year old Seiko that I bought with my first paycheck while in basic at Ft.Benning in 1984. And brand new nato watchband.

 Very nice, new crystal too?

Still wear my '85. Keeps time but the crystal and bezel are thrashed.
No new crystal. Same original. I called Seiko to see what they would recommend and the lady asked if it wasn't working or leaking, then send it in, if not, keep it.
