Well, I finally used my C&R license to pickup a CZ-82 with the 12 round mags before 10/1 and when the firearm arrived there was only one mag in the box and the packing skip said only one mag. The ad clearly stated and still states 2 mags.

When I contacted Century, they have been following their mantra that it's a surplus gun, they are getting near the end of the inventory, that they get piles of guns & piles of mags and they listed the ad according to being told there were enough for 2 mags for each gun but at the end they don't have enough so tough luck.

Anyone else hear anything like this??
I'm getting the feeling that they're trying to take advantage of a customer who is just buying one firearm.

Waiting to hear back on whether they can find another mag to ship but I get the feeling they will say 'oh well...'

My dealings with Century has certainly been a rollercoaster ride. I got one of their AK74 clones that turned out to be an excellent firearm. I also got a bullpup AK74 from them that I'm sure had a .556 barrel. It took over six months to get refunded for the bullpup, but it finally happened. For all my trouble they ended up sending me a free circle 21 mag months later. My suggestion is to get names when you call and use those names when you email. The email is a solid record and they actually responded to all my emails....but I bugged them. Also, I always kept my communications with them cordial. Good Luck.

I have been dealing with Century since before they moved. They used to have a professional sales and buying staff. Sad to say but those days are long gone now. I consider them to be in the same league as SOG now.

John - I'm truly not out to disagree with your postings today--pure coincidence--but what are the problems you've encountered with SOG? I've never had a bad experience with them.

I have no problems with ordering parts or ammo from them. In that they are acceptable.

My issue has to do with their ratings of their surplus firearms. I believe that their offerings are rated higher than they should be. In contrast, AIM has always tended to rate their surplus as pretty much what they are. I also think that SOG's select fee is a ripoff as I have not seen a difference when paying the fee.

JMHO, your mileage may differ. :D

I agree. I bought an Albanian SKS from SOG that was suppose to be in VG condition. I understand that NRA descriptions for used/surplus are different, but I was really disappointed in the rifle they sent. Not at all like the picture---stock almost rotted through. And I paid for the hand select. Caveat Emptor.

Whether they have another mag to ship or not makes no difference at this point. Your SOL. You cannot have them ship that mag to you in MD anymore; whether you purchased it before Oct 1 or not. Receiving it would be against the law.

Maybe I can get them to give a refund for the missing mag.
    Either way, it sucks!!

Other than the mag, I like the CZ-82, it's a nice solid firearm and while it shows some wear and tear, I like it.
Now, I have to get to the range and test fire it.
