She came into my life in 1998 (new to me) taking the place and a 1976 model heavier snail I had bought new as well.. The 1976 was a Ranger 370V and had the 150 HP Merc motor rebuilt twice. She got her name The Snail because 54 MHP was her top speed running a 3 blade prop.
In 1997 I got to fish a bass tourney at Smith Mountain lake…Triton was there with a few boats to display and take out on the water.. 15 minutes into the test run (Fish On) I was hooked… The Tr21 rode on top of the water, handled well (no cable steering) and best of all.. Excellent holeshot, and she hauled azz 70 ++ mph..
Long story short..I lost my desire to fish in 2005 after the passing of my youngest son… I only took the boat out maybe 5 times afterwards… On 8/17/19 I towed my boat to its new home in Mt. Airy NC (oldest daughter house) were it will see most of its life on a 7 acre lake on her property…
You never let me down, You returned me to the launch site safe and sound every time, A ton of memories were made from your deck with family, friends and fellow anglers.
