    The world has sure changed.
It wasn't long ago that if you wanted to buy a used gun you looked in the Sunpaper, found one that you are interested in, called the guy and went to his house and did the transaction in his living room. No muss, no fuss.

Doesn't seem too long ago for classified ads on the Sunpaper, does it?

    Would you believe 1993?

So, what is the process regarding Gunbroker? Does an FFL have to be involved? As an individual can we ship to an out of state FFL? What would we keep to record the sale, auction results?

I'm not trying to skirt any laws, but I am considering selling a few and this might be an avenue.
According to gunbroker, non-licensee can ship long guns and shotguns and can even ship them via USPS (registered mail suggested with no 'gun' markings.

Has anyone done this? The rifle/shotgun must go to an FFL and they have FFL verify tool on gunbroker.

You can only buy a long gun in another state directly from an FFL in that state. if it's a private sale it must go to an FFL in the buyers state.

    Not exactly.

It may be legal to transfer to a third state FFL (long gun only).

Seller is from State A. Buyer is from State B. FFL is located in State C.

Seller ships LONG GUN to FFL in State C. Buyer goes to FFL in State C to pick up.

As long as the transaction is legal in States B and C, this is legal.

So, NO, you cannot go to VA as an MD resident and pick up a long gun that is banned in MD. :)
